Free Download Manager can monitor your browser clicks. When you click the link to a file you want to be downloaded, FDM catches the download. It automatically opens the Add A New File Download dialog box.

FDM behaviour differs upon integration with different browsers.
1.In Netscape and Opera browsers FDM will catch clicks on all archive, exe, audio and video files. You can't specify the file extensions to download; you can't use the ALT key too.

2.In Internet Explorer (all versions) Right-clicking a link opens a context menu containing items Download with Free Download Manager , Download all with Free Download Manager and Download selected with Free Download Manager. Menu item Download Web site with Free Download Manager is available in the Web-page context menu. You can

3.In Internet Explorer versions prior to 6.0
·Users can press the CTRL+ALT keys to catch any click.  
·The program checks the extension of this file and decides on its addition to the list according to the settings.  

Free Download Manager can also monitor the clipboard state. When a web address is being copied to the clipboard, FDM opens the Add A New File Download dialog box. You can adjust browser and clipboard monitoring at the Monitoring tab of the Download Options dialog box.



You can change the browser integration parameters at the Monitoring tab of the Download Options dialog box.
